combat pets require gems to level up, other pets require you to set the pet to do a task, the same way you'd level up

magic is 100% more useful than melee for late game bosses

Got it, I read on a forum that I should focus on the experience turkeys in archery because they're harder to level up

@Sleepingman. since you're new. arrows/archery does get very spendy, might want to level magic its more useful
